Today Mel and I went to Hawerlak Park here in Edmonton for the Silverskate Festival and had a great time. We went for a skate on the river and a hot chocolate inside and saw a few people from the community league and our gardening group.
You can see the performers on stilts in the background. In the foreground I am not sure exactly what these sculptures are but Ken guesses that this is how they make a base for the snow scultptures that you will see in the later pictures.....
They also had "jam can curling" for the kids.
