Day 30 (January 30, 2010): First night in our new place

Tonight was our first night in our new place. We managed to get the bedroom, living room and kitchen fairly organized so we feel a bit settled. I am so happy to be out of our Boardwalk nightmare and into a new place. We lived in a swanky 1 bedroom apartment in a highrise with a "fantastic view", gym and pool for 3 years.......sounds good doesn't it? The whole three years was one nightmare after another from someone causing a flood above us and having to live for 3 months in our living room with all of our bedroom furniture (no deal on the rent eventhough we could only use half of our apartment), to rental increases, to parkade repairs that lasted longer than planned and caused us to have to park in a mud pit (ruining all of my shoes/boots and making the interior of my car very dirty) to them taking rent out of my account twice in one month and then making me "prove" that they did it eventhough they could just check their bank records and see that it had happened!! GRRRRR!!!!! Obviously we are very happy to be spending our first night in our new 2 bedroom apartment for half the rent and no Boardwalk Nazi's to harass me!!
